Drag radials for stock '07 rims?

I have an '07 GT500 and just bought a new set of stock rims for some drag radials. I want to get MT ETII drag radials but they do not come in the original 285 40-18 size. They have either 265/40-18 or 305/35-18 or 305/45-18.....Which would fit without rubbing or any issues?
The car was running 12.53 @ 116mph last year with the original tires and launching at 1,200, what should i launch at with drag radials and how much quicker should it go?

I had the 305/35-18 m/t II's. Great tire. They're about .4" shorter than the 27" stock tires. The 45-18's are a 29" tire. (28.8"). Nitto makes the NT05R's in a 285-18 27" I believe but for a premium.

You'll have to play with the rpms to see what's best. Too many variables: power, gearing, track, tire pressure, suspension, launch method, etc. No simple answer here

To determine how much quicker you're E.T. will depend on improvements in your 60' and 330'. MPH will remain roughly the same. What short times were u cutting on the stock tire? Never ran the 18" m/t's at the track myself so I couldn't tell u what to expect but I have personally seen 1.6 60's on 18" NT05R's

Thanks.......How do the 305's fit with the extra 1" of width? they are 12" compared to the 11" stock from what I saw on the size specs.

Tread width will not vastly increase because the measuring rim width is the same. Excess wraps into sidewall

Btw, Modified my first post, had a question

If u have stock 3.31's I'd suggest a 26" tire for the track. Will help u get outta the hole quicker without bogging down. Then again I would suggest a set of 15" racestar's with a 26" tire (assuming 3.31's) If u just wanted a set of drag only wheels/tires.

I was running a 2.0 60' 5.49 330' time, besides the tire swap I'm working on I also added a smaller pulley over the winter. I'm hoping for high 11"s is that reasonable to expect?

What other mods? If u get the 330 down to 5.19 or lower it's just a matter of banging through the gearbox to get a high 11

With stock tires a mild tune, CAI, 3.73 gears, UCA, shifter and KR mufflers it was a consistent 12.50's. Added the smaller pulley and now the tires. Hoping for 11's just not sure what RPM I can launch at with drag radials.

The taller sidewall has the advantage. I did the same with the extra pair of wheels. I am on my 2nd set of DR's. First set was M/T 305/45/18.. I just mounted up the NT05R in the same size. With Pulley, 3.73, CAI, Tune, and these DR's, I turned 11.52. I am putting lowering springs (1.25") on the back only to compensate for the taller tires. Will see about front springs after. With the taller tires, I like 4.10 better.

M&H has a 275/18 that a lot of big power guys run in the 275 DR classes.

I've used the same compound and they stick like crazy. Have run sub-1.50s with them.

Only downside is they're 28s. May kill your MPH with mild tune and 373s though. Awesome with 410s.

I just got a new set of 275/45 x 18" M&H's today and will hopefully have them on the track in a month. Mine is a 04 Terminator though.

It seems you are looking for which provides the best 60 time. If so, go with 305/45's now instead of waiting for the shorter tire to wear out so you can next time around.
