Picked up some 15x8.5 convos, I'm lowered about 1.5 inches, and have 3.73s, fairly new to the wheel and tire game.. What size tire do you suggest I run? Brand opinions are welcomed too.

Whatever you get make sure it's a 28" tire so you can finish the 1/4 in 4th with your 3.73's.

Would 28in fit? Being lowered
You NEED to check the offset and back spacing on your wheels. That will determine if a 28 will fit or not. I'm thinking the centerlines had 2.75-5 in bs on their 8.5's (if I remember but they may have new different sizes). A 5.5 bs on an 8 is barely enough to get 28's off the fenders on our cars. So a 5 on an 8.5 would stick out an inch. Check the wheels.

If your car starts running well you will be on the limiter in fourth through the traps with a MT82 / 3.73 gear combo and a 28" tire. Assuming you have a 7000 limiter.

Thats why i'm changing over to a 3.31 gear.

Yeah I love my 3.31s and 7800 RPM limiter I do 113 in 3rd and I am not sure how fast the top of 4th is.

Just saying if you go with a radial I would go with The 275/60/15 Mickey Thompson ET radial pros those tires worked extremely better than my ET streets

From what I've seen a 28inch bias ply tire is gonna be what u want to run to ser the best results being a stick car. Radials don't seem to hook as well, but if u have to have radials do MTs or Hoosier quick time pros
