For somebody looking to dump money, where would you all suggest? I am cool with lower yields that offer dividends. Also wouldn’t mind something that could offer bigger payouts.

Here you go, one pick from every one of my investment buckets.

Insurance: Prudential PRU Div Yld 5.37%
Like it (bucket for stocks I like that didn't meet other bucket criteria): Extended Stay America STAY Div Yld 8.22%
TECH: Broadcom Inc AVGO Div Yld 4.55% More capital gain potential/less Div... Microsoft/Apple/Intel...
Healthcare: AstraZeneca AZN Div Yld 4.04%
Defense: TransDigm Group Incorporated TDG Div Yld Irregular Div
Banking: TFS Financial Corp TFSL Div Yld 4.96%
VERY Risky: (limit position) Western Midstream Partners WES Div Yld 18.55%
Floating Rate Income: Whitehorse Finance Inc WHF Div Yld 10.31%
Oil: Energy Transfer ET Div Yld 11.32% Any energy stock has uncertain risk right now with contavirus.
Utility: Spark Energy SPKE Div Yld 7.62%
Emerging Market: iShares MSCI Russia Capped ETF ERUS Div Yld 7.98 Emerging markets are not easy to access and evaluate, so ETF better way to go, in my opinion.
International: Eaton Vance Tax-Advantaged Global Dividend Opportunities Fund ETO Div Yld 8.85%
Real Estate: Ready Capital Corp RC Div Yld 10.50%
Industrial: FMC Corp FMC Div Yld 1.82% More Div? CAT 3.21%
Capital markets: AllianceBernstein Holding LP AB Div Yld 7.89%

Since I have 3 financial buckets, I limit each to maintain balance.

Bonds and such: many many choices available.

My Small Medium & Large Cap buckets skew to steady total return (and my personal likes), past results not a predictor of future results. A fair argument could be made that at the end of a business cycle, skewing toward Dividend would not be a bad idea, but I use my other buckets to skew for income.

Small Cap: Omega Flex Inc OFLX Div Yld 1.32%
Medium Cap: Chemed Corp CHE Div Yld .28%
Large Cap: VISA V Div Yld .64%

Anyways, Good luck and research anything you buy thoroughly before buying.

I hate to say it but I think for the next month it will be dropping. I will be placing put options to make up for my regular "hold" stocks.

These are my thoughts after this week:

Every single day this week has been red.... by a lot.... the effects of the coronavirus are starting to hit. Chinese production plants have been shutdown for some time now, this also impacts US companies such as Apple, retail stores, food chains, electronic manufacturing, etc. We're now feeling those effects. Corona hasn't even hit the US yet. I feel like until a vaccine is released or it stops spreading like wildfire, the market will continue down into bear territory. I personally won't be dropping money in until the market starts to see some green days every week.

However, be watching DUST, GDX, NUGT. Will be interesting to see what happens to DUST tomorrow after its huge day today.
NUGT down 44 percent in a week .... ill be placing a put option on that for SURE

If I was a younger man, I would be much more aggressive and that typically means younger growing companies that don't pay a dividend. Since I am not, lol, I like even my picks skewed to capital gains to pay me something.

I will also say that this correction is really causing some stocks that were unattractive to pop up on my radar screen for a hard look. I added Verizon to my large cap bucket.

What does "put option" mean?

check out stock options ... a "call" means you are betting the stock will go up , a "put" means the stock will go down ...you contract the option for a week or more.

Im not much for high risk. I like the paying of dividends. Even if stock goes down dividends could off set it.
