When I was in the market I was watching hellcat.org. They have a "purchasing" forum that had some good info at the time.

But for the longest time it took talent, time, and dedication to be fast at the drag strip. Now it's as easy as going to the local dealership and breaking out a check book.

You could also do that in 2006. Anyone else remember the Roush Drag Pack Mustangs?

I miss the good ol days and i'm not even old.

You could run 10s with a factory car in the late 60s. Several different specialty cars came with headers and slicks in the trunk.

Lol wut? Which ones?

A couple months ago, I talked to a guy who had just bought a '64 Ford Thunderbolt. If I recall correctly, he said it can dip into the mid-to-high 10s with the automatic transmission. Wikipedia says the 4-speed manual can hit mid-11s. The '66 Shelby Cobra Super Snake can hit the 10s when equipped with drag radials. There are a few other cars from back then that could hit 10s from the "factory," but I can't think of them at the moment. For whatever reason, they're not very popular. Probably because they were dedicated drag cars.

Are these on the road now? I just saw one driving around in the Philly suburbs.
No one has one yet. Blue manufacturer plate on it? Probably still testing or doing car shows

They are spotted almost weekly. Minnesota:

Its much higher in the rear end than the first pic I posted. Thats more fender gap than a stock Hellcat. Somethings up with those rear springs

Part of it is the the shorter 18" tires. Theyre almost an inch shorter than the HC 20's. Roughly 3/4" if i remember correctly.
