Few picssss.
My ship..Coastal Minesweeper made of wood and GRP or glass reinforced plastic. We use sonar to find underwater mines and remote sub to dispose of them.

Very cool.
Can you go into any details?
How far away were you from the compound?

This is from September 11, 2002 and taken in Afghanistan. Out of all my deployment pictures this one means the most. The quality is kinda crappy because I had to scan it and it's been hanging on my wall for almost eight years now.

I'll play some more...back in the day the Blue Marlon Heavy Lift ship came to Texas and picked up two of our coastal minehunters. Took us a month at 18 knots and 10,000 miles to get to Bahrain. A month later...she came back to the Middle East to pick up the USS Cole after the terrorist attack in Yemen that took the lives of 17 sailors.

If you click on this link: YouTube - KingCobra1204's Channel it will take you to my movie page on youtube of me working on UH-60M which is the newest BlackHawk helicopters in the Army. I'm a 15T (mechanic/but I'm a crew chief) but now in a flight company so I fly a shit ton. I'm currently deployed in Iraq right now. I even got a short clip of us shooting the M240H for aerial gunnery. Will post pics soon
