Looking to get rid of the danger civic soon for something with a few more cylinders , I've optioned out a 2011 premium GT and it came to 36k (couldnt pass up the brembo upgrade)

However at that price im only a couple grand away from a used 07/08 GT500, as there are a number of dealerships over in texas listing used GT500s for 35-38k.

I live about 5 miles away from work so gas mileage isn't an issue. But this would be my DD so I'd be needing my warranty (ie no warranty killing mods)

What would you guys do?

me, preferably, the only GT500 i would purchase over the new 2011 GT would be the 2011 GT500 and the 2010 GT500 by a close second. that's just me though.

gt500 in any year. much better room for upgrade in the future, even tho the new gt is soo sexy, when it comes to getting serious about modding, you will hit a brick wall quick. but if you're not one to be dabbling in the mod scene, there's nothing like owning a brand spanking new car, and a really good looking one at that.

If you can find a 2007-2008 GT500 with under 15K miles that might be your best bet since you'll get more performance from the GT500. Remember that with the GT 5.0 you're getting a fresh warranty so that might be of value unless you intended on getting an extended warranty for the GT500. You might want to hold off until you can get a chance to drive both and see which one you like the best.

Get a very low mile GT500 built after Sept 2008. It will have the upgraded clutch from the factory (no TSB), and you can perhaps pick up a new one for $40k even. Remember, the 09, 10, 11 have the exact same chassis and suspension geometry, so you are just a suspension upgrade away from a 1G corner carver....... good luck.

I was deciding this myself, and ending up going with a GT500. With some looking around, low mileage 07-08's can be found for low to mid 30's. Good luck!
