So i just got from Afghanistan and just want to drive the car. start it up and idling rough and hesitating, chalk it up to fuel stab and just put it around until i can put some new fuel in it.

The first day i can really drive it i have the oil changed and do the plugs (Tr6 gapped at .32) clean the maf still running rough and every once in a while missing on a cylinder.

Shut it down and park it till i have some time to look at it. Sits for about a week. Start it up and its running fine take it for a spin around the block, got on it in 2nd till about 5k and its running rough and a slight knock.

I know I know i shouldn't have but got anxious not driving it for a year and missed it. :burn:

Now at the stealership. There mech is saying its something in the head #8 cylinder witch when i changed the plugs was the one that was very black. Compression is good

So tomorrow i find out if its a spring or valve or whatever they find.

That is the most likely thing, Could be other things, Should have reworded probably exhaust valve guide. Either that or plug is loose and popped out. Either way good luck bud, i hate knocks and ticks, I just got all mine sorted out.

Plugs and threads are good i checked them four different times. depending on what the dealership says i might just get some head work done while there off.
Anybody ever deal with Dyno Speed in Memphis?

I have a friend who can vouch for them. Well my manager actually. His Mach has been there several times with good reviews. They have alot of mustangs come through so they know what they're doing it seems.

A valve seat dropped and chewed up the motor. Aluminater and new heads and it's done. Alittle disappointed with the price but have to pay to play, I guess.

That's a shame OP, just look at it in a positive way, fresh motor and those sick ass blue valve covers!

Yep got the bill on my wedding day (Saturday). So now I'm scrambling to find the funds. Have to break in the motor then get a good tune. Shity thing is I've spent around 18,000 thousand and I'm still rocking the eaton.

All new parts: T56 magnum, McLeod RXT, Aluminator, 6 pound lower. Nto5 all around, duel intercepter gauges(oil pressure sender), afco, long tubes with cattless Prochamber in to slp lm1. I'll be switching out mufflers for something with a deeper tone. I'm sure I'm forgetting something.

Oh the dealership is another story. I yanked it out of there quick when the couldn't diagnose what was knocking. Dynospeed did the engine everything else was done while I was deployed.
