heres what happened ... oil pump failure , timing chain broke on passenger side , cam towers are pretty rough. are the heads trash if the cam towers have been gouged from the cams? I will post pics

sounds pretty bad. usually if the cam journals are messed up then the heads are no good. id recommend taking to a machine shop and have them inspected. or try and post some pics

If they are bad..

I havent seen as many issues on passenger head with valve seats that I would have no worries of going used..

I have the 4 thread still on passenger side..been 3 driver side

But thats me..

What chain broke..I had a cam gear shatter...

Steve ..site vendor..had a nice timing set for us ..included adjusters..prices was unbelievable low

Fox lake is the only reason why I sold my previous set! Hoping to pick up a set really soon.

I don't quite understand.

You sold your old heads so you could get a set of Fox lake heads?

Or Fox Lake ruined your old set of heads so you had to replace them?

I sold my old mildly ported heads in lieu of picking up a better set which is looking to be fox lake ported heads.

Fox lake does quality work. I upgraded my 4 thread heads to 15 threads and new guides, valves, and valve job for around $3500. I dont have to worry about the heads anymore.

My engine builder told me the guy who owns or runs Fox Lake is the engineer that designed the TrickFlow heads. So he knows what he is doing.
