I purchased the ford racing loop kit and it wasn't going to work with my prochamber exhaust and/or the T-56(?). My criteria for a custom loop was;
1) No drilling the floor pan
2) Removable without pulling driveshaft
3) Maximum clearance for exhaust
My other 2 options were the Metco kit and the Stiffler's. Not knowing if either was going to fit without modifying the exhaust, I spent $10 on steel and fasteners and fabricated my own.
I bent a piece of steel as a template and transfered it to 2" x 0.25" flat bar. The vertical clearance increase needed was about 2".
I used my near-worthless harbor freight tubing-kinker to form the upper piece
I welded a mounting bracket to the subframe connector
Quick coat of paint and ready to install.
The lower bar is about 1/4" below the driveshaft and the Prochamber 'chamber' sits about 1/4" below the bolt heads.
