Curbed my Cobra damnit...2 days before SEMA

I'm an idiot.

Yesterday I was out with the Cobra in unfamiliar territory and I cut an apex too tight...caught the curb with the lip of the right rear and bent it. When I got home, I pounded out the lip using a hammer and a 3/8" extension wrapped in duct tape. Then I polished the abrasion with 3M rubbing compound. Some evidence of curbing exists, but it isn't as noticeable as before. Luckily, new wheels are just $150 each...I just can't get one in time and mounted before SEMA.

My Cobra won't be used at SEMA, but it will be shown in Vegas on Fri. night in front of the Hard Rock Casino with 25 other XMP Mustangs...the owner of XMP is having a special dinner event at the Hard Rock and will be displaying customer vehicles in front of the Casino.

Stock (machined finish).

Get one of those tire display holders they have at Americas tire or something. get 4 and park your car on them.

Something like this. Put XMP stickers on it.

It won't help hide the abrasion.

I did something similar one time with mine, but trying to polish it out didn't help at all. So I lived with it.

Lol, the bra is pretty much a full-time accessory except for shows.

Sorry to have missed your post...we parked in front at 7 pm...all I can say is that XMP has some amazing female friends. :rockon:

Also, the booth girls at SEMA were phenomenal. I just need to figure out how to post some images.
