Curious to see what type of sentence she will get. Sleep deprivation will mess your thinking up. It's a tragic situation all around.
This question popped into my head while I was catching up on this trial news:
Has a civilian ever shot or killed an off-duty police officer in legal self-defense? What would have happened to Botham Jean if he had shot the officer when she walked into his apartment?
Probably would've been convicted of manslaughter because you know "Thin Blue Line". They would've more than likely covered one of their owns ass. Just like they do in Washington. Why isn't James Comey or Andrew McCabe in jail, because they cover eachothers asses. Why isn't the names of the Representatives & Senators that had sexual assault cases brought against them & paid off their accusers made public?

Just playing Devil's Advocate...but any time you draw a weapon and fire, the goal is to kill. That said, I still don't see how that equals premeditation.
Premeditation would mean she went through that door knowing she was going to kill the man behind - right?
I haven’t followed the case closely...sentencing makes no damn sense to me as a whole. A bunch of people get minuscule years for killing others while some get crazy long sentences for selling drugs or not paying taxes. The bitch got only 10 years prison for murdering someone. Wow. Y’all think she deserved more than that? or does the sentence fit?

Finally a police officer was punished. Look I get and respect police officers they have a hard job but not all are good apples. Some think they'll above it and rarely get punished for they're crime's cause they so many other times. Let me tell you a story and this just happened yesterday. I was driving home from work yesterday and was talking to one of friends on my bluetooth in my truck. I had my palm against my face leaning a little cause I was tired. When a police officer passed me going the other direction and I clearly saw her on her phone talking. Then I see her turn on her lights and make a u turn. I thought she got a emergency call but nope she was pulling me over. When she came to my window I asked why I got pulled over she said for being on my phone since we have a hands free law. I laughed and said yeah right I told her I'll show you I wasn't and pointed to my dashcam. I told her it's a two view camera and it'll show what I was doing at the time and I also said it'll show when you passed me you we're on your phone too. She gave me this crazy look and just walked to her crusier turned off her lights and left. Moral of the story is cops are human too and just like humans we tend to lie and abuse power.
I'm honestly surprised she didn't get off.
Good thing you had that camera. Ive had a few interactions with woman officers that were, interesting to say the least. For some reason they seam to go 0-100 in a fraction of a second.
Why are you surprised? She shot someone dead in their own home.
Isn't that all women though?
You sure? All of the ones I’ve dealt with, yes.
All? Obviously not.
