My wife bought me some expensive Ariat boots and come to find out after I wore them a little they aren't even steel toe! Can I boot repair shop take the shoe apart and install and steel square toe?

I lol'ed HARD at that one. I can relate. Im required to wear steel toe out here on the flight line and you can definitely tell a difference just in weight and breathability. I've never herd of people putting in steel toes into boots that arent already.
probably more trouble then it's worth.... They sell steel toe caps you can wear, you'll look like a goon tho
If you can they are not likely going to be certified so they will probably be rejected by your work as NFG.
