tryin to make a list of all the things i will need to pull and rebuild my motor. so far the list consist of:

1) rotating assy(includes rings and rod/main bearings)
2) gasket kit
3) all new fluids
4) block work
5) cherry picker and engine stand
6) pilot tool
7) load leveler

trying to add to the list. if yall could help that would be great. like tools and hardware etc. anything i should be checking for while i have the motor out?

any estimates on block work including boring .020 over? anything specifically i should be asking the machine shop to do?

thanx

Load leveler is not absolutely necessary. You can pull the engine without it.

Invest some money on a good torque wrench.

Degree the cams. You'll need special Ford tools to do it.

Most of the estimates I was getting were around $1000 for machining on my block that included a .020 bore. It was difficult to find someone local with a torque plate for a 4.6, too. Do not let them touch your engine block if they don't have a torque plate.
