Coming to Saint Paul/Shakopee Area for a week, what's there to do?

Hey fellow SVTPer's i'm going to be coming to the Saint Paul, more specifically the Shakopee area, from monday to friday of next week and i don't know anyone or anything there.

I was wondering if you guys had any recommendations as to where to eat, what to do, or maybe if there are any mustang meets i can go see some nice midwest mustangs at.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I'm not from Shakopee, but they have Valley Fair out that way and a few casinos with good buffets.. Other than that you'll have to go to St. Paul or Minneapolis for more stuff to do.

I'm bored out of my mind here. Are there any shooting ranges i can go rent a gun and shoot at? Or racing courses, drag racing, anything a 26 year old would want to do in the st paul minneapolis area?

Check out Brainerd Raceway. About 90 minutes north of you.

Canterbury Park is down there. Horse racing through Labor day I believe.

My grandma lives in Shokopee. There is Valley Fair (not sure if it's still open or not), if you drive to Bloomington there is the Mall of America. You could go buy a fishing pole and a 3 day license and go fishing. Plenty of places for that.

I believe that Valleyfair is open daily through Labor day, then weekends only after that. I could be wrong tho...

I also heard it's $25+ to get in. I remember as a kid it was around $12

We used to go a lot just to mini golf. But now you have to pay park admission to get in and then pay for the mini golf. Hell for that price I'd rather be out on a golf course!

If you want to go shooting go to Bills Gun and Range. 4080 West Broadway Avenue, Robbinsdale, MN. They have machine guns and all.
