Cobra R water pump Vs. Electric water pump

Which on to get and why?

Pros and cons of both. I myself thought/thinks the electric is the way to go, but is it?

Opinions please. Thanks!

or go with a navigator pump and be done with it. cheaper, flows better than both I believe.

If you do a search in here, you'll find most recommend the Navi pump for a mechanical pump. I've had that so called "Cobra" pump on my 01L for 8 years and no problems, but it pumps a bit less water than the standard L or Navi pump and some say they've had some overheating issues.

Long answer: Do a search here and at nloc for my thoughts...

Short answer: Navi pump with a shroud on top of the blades. And if you have the means add one to the bottom.

For an 03-04 the Navi pump will save you 4 pounds of weight but nothing else. You have to do an e-fan if you use a Navi pump though. Read this:

i had a meziere electric pump when i first got the truck... never could get it to quit leaking so i took it off.
