Is the 31 spline T-56 Cobra R transmission stronger than the 03-04 Cobra Transmission?

The torque ratings for both transmittions are the same.

Nope they have 10 spline and they snap very easy when pushed.

Delay - But no I don't.. YET I will be getting one very soon, and there is one on here for sale with a Cobra R Trans on it and I was wondering the difference.

10 spline input (clutch) shaft and 27 spline output (DS side) shaft (terminators)..apparently 31 on the cobra R

yes the 10 spline input shaft is being replaced with a 26 these days.
you can see clutches being offered 10 spline or 26 spline.

Aftermarket T56's generally uses 31 spline output shaft. It gets confusing..this is why ford racing sells a "terminator" AL DS that is 31 splines...

t56 cobra R 2.97,2.07,1.43,1,.8,.62 (also aftermarket gearings)
t56 terminator 2.66,1.78,1.30,1,.8,.63

put a wtb ad in the svtp marketplace forum.

try ebay...also call any mustang shops around..guys are always upgrading.
but it will not be rebuilt...there are several rebuilders online

without a core probably a rebuilt one would be $2K...with 26 spline input shaft $2.3K ..abouts
