Being a commercial pilot myself:

KUDOS to:
The designers and engineers for building a plane that would withstand a water landing without breaking apart.....
The pilots (takes more than one to fly that plane) for following procedure and training to set it down so it won't break up as it lands in the water.......
The designers and engineers again for designing it to float nose up so you could open the doors to evacuate without flooding the plane...........
And lastly ... the flight attendants (that we all too often ignore and comlpain about their crappy attitudes) for paying attention the day they taught them how to save the passengers asses on event of a water landing.........

Hoooray flight attendants!!!!! They save your ass when the shit hits the fan ............

The pilots are among a long list of heroes that day.......... Once the plane comes to a stop in the water, the pilot's job is pretty much over, the flight attendants take over to evacuate the plane and make sure everyone is evacuated quickly and safely......

The aircraft designers and engineers, the assembly line workers and quality inspectors, the pilots, first officers and the flight attendants were all heroes.
Even the FAA should be called heroes for having the highest standards that all flight crews and aircraft manufacturers live by.
