Im going to change my cluch. My dyno run was over 650tq. Dont know how long the stock cluch will hold up. Need to know what cluch i should go with Spec, mcloud, center force ect. Was going to go with a spec twin disk but seen some bad reviews online. The cluch breaking after 2000 miles. So what are you guys running and with what success?

I’ve had good luck with my Centerforce DYAD. I’d also check out the Mantic clutch that recently came out.

I have a Spec ST trim and probably similar power level.... no complaints overall.

If I had to say something negative it would be that the clutch definitely does not like anything 1500 rpm or in lower 3rd gear and up. Strong vibrations at low rpm. Given it’s a high performance clutch rated for I believe 1200 lb trq, I can accept the vibrations experienced sub 2k rpm. I think the vibrations are slowly getting less harsh but I suppose I could just be getting used to it and/or trained myself to stay north of 1500.

Van at Revan Racing had me convinced with a quick phone call that the spec unit would preform. I’d give him a call and hear his two cents.

I have around 780 trq in my 13 and im running the mcleod RXT in mine and love it. If you city drive stop and go a lot then its not a good clutch for you. It is in or out and you can feel a good shutter if you try and slip it, but beside that i would buy another one if need be.

I daily city drive stop and go with my RXT and I agree with the comments of its an on/off clutch but after about 3k miles it smooths out a lot. I'm sure some of this is I have changed my clutch release style but also its the clutch fully breaking in, also having 3:73 gears helps. I have a slight incline to my garage and I can slip the clutch just enough to creep in without any chatter.

I'm right at 700 and still running the stock clutch. No issues here, then again I don't thrash on the car.

The factory flywheel is only used for the starter. The EXT doesn't utilize the factory flywheel surface at all. That is a quote from mcloud when I called them about mine.

What's the weight of your McLeod steel flywheel (P/N 473458)?

Also, are you using the McLeod Modular style clutch (P/N 6975-07M)?

Mine is actually the p/n 6975-07HD IF IT MAKES A DIFFERENCE

The P/N 6975-07M clutch is rated at 1000HP @ the flywheel.
The P/N 6975-07HD clutch is rated at 1200HP @ the flywheel.

The stock clutch assembly (2011-2012) weight ~ 38 lbs.
The McLeod 6975-07M clutch assembly weight ~ 39.5 lbs.
The stock flywheel weight ~ 25 lbs.
The McLeod aluminum flywheel (P/N 573408) weight at ~ 11 lbs.

Anyone run an RST Mcleod? I don't want to deal with an "on or off" ceramic clutch and would prefer the organic disc for drivability.

Does anyone know if the RST and RXT use the same pressure plate?

I went with the Mantic kit this spring and love it! Lighter pedal feel than stock, no noise and hooks great. It also comes with Flywheel and Slave. 756rwhp/728rwtq and about 25 strip passes on slicks so far.
