Ok this is the skinny the best way I understand it. With the chip thing even if you take it out to have a warranty issue done. I was told that the chip leaves a profile on the mainboard of the computer and that it flashes the memory and that is one of the 1st things the techs look for in resolving warranty work.

But it is also my understanding that Ford has to be able to prove that the mod caused the failure. I'm not a smart man but my guess is if it came to litigation I think that with all the tech and engineers they have Ford would win. My question is are there any mods I can do that anyone knows for sure can't be used against me. Like an FIPK cold air box? is that something that can be construed as causing other problems other than giving a drowning man air to breath. Can I do a cold air mod without repercussion.
