Changing axle seals and differential cover. Is XL3 friction modifier needed?

Kevin, everyone has migrated to Lightningrodder or facebook. I'm fairly sure you do have to add friction modifier. Dusten checks in everyday he may know for sure.

A) your post was only 12 hours old....

B) If you have a stock differential you need friction modifier.

If you're using an oil like Royal Purple or Amsoil you may be able to get by not using the FM, but I have seen it go both ways. In the end it's just easier to go ahead and pour it in and forget about it.
