changed ring and pinion today, 3.31 to a 4.30

Yep, 3.55s really seem to be the perfect gear. I am seriously considering them.

i had trans problems long before it got its first mod. it all started from not torqueing the flywheel bolts right and fell apart from there..

well i ran saturday car went across the line at 6200 in 4th... cut a 1.46 60 ft vs a 1.48 ..... car went a 6.89 @ 97mph, so i picked up .11 off the gear swap and i like the gears being closer together, makes it more fun to drive

Congrats and it's your car and what makes you happy! As a matter of comparison I have 4 passes only on my setup (26 inch slicks with 3.15's and no skinnies yet). Was only cutting 1.70 60's but ran 7.1 @ 98mph leaving off idle with my 3.15's. Hope to get my 60 and time in your territory next time out!

the 1/4 you will have to shift to 5th which hurt my ets by .06 . i put 3.73 in and went faster and gained 2mph by not having to go to 5th .
the 1/8 4.30s are great but the 1/4 its to much,,, my experiance and .02

I had 4.10's in mine and couldn't stand them plus they don't go great with a 150 shot. Went back to stock 3.31's.
