Some of you guys.........

won't have even heard of some of these vehicles! I'm older than most of you but here goes(I wonder how many I will have forgotten--CRS?):

1. 1937 Ford business coupe--1948 Ford flathead V8, dual exhausts, two chrome-plated Stromberg carbs., 14 coats of deep, dark blue(almost purple?) lacquer, lowered, larger(?) tires, 1940 (hydraulic) brakes, naugahyde seats, 1940 dash, steering column, radio(AM), and a Cadillac headliner--whew! Had this car while a senior at Miami Senior H/S--go Stingarees!

2. 1949 Oldsmobile coupe(me and my g/f were rear-ended by a tour bus while sitting at a red lite--both of us walked away)

3. 1955 Thunderbird Convertible--oh where is 'she' now?

4. 1957 MG A coupe(ok, kick me--I traded the T/Bird in on 'this'). Burned the valves down to the 'nubs' on a trip to Orlando after filling the tank with 130 octane aviation gas(courtesy Delta A/Ls)--had to be towed in the last 30 miles by a Hudson........

5. 1957 Jaguar 4.2L 4dr. sedan, stick, beautiful BRG paint. I let David Crosby borrow it for 2 wks. while I was at Marine corps reserve camp--=-think he remembers that--LOL? He was singing folk songs in the coffee houses around Miami then.

6. 1962 VW Beetle--drove it from Key West, Florida to Mazatlan, Mexico and back with NO problems--amazing!

7. 1964 Corvair Turbo

forgive the looong post?

7. 1964 Corvair Turbo Spyder(first new car)--modded lightly--autoxed it--loved it.

8. 1965 Corvair John Fitch Special Edition convertible, 4 carbs, dual exhaust, Koni shocks, autoxed it too.

9. 1967 Oldsmobile coupe

10. 1971 Fiat Spyder coupe(what's the deal with all these spyders?)--5 speed, bright yellow, 'fun' car.

11. 1973 Chev. Monte Carlo--ugh!

11a. 1974 Volvo, 4 cyl., auto(forgot this one-wife loved it0

12. 1976(?) Mercedes Benz 280 coupe--got rid of it because it rminded me of my dad's 1949 Ford coupe--they looked similar--the Ford was rotted out & rusty--smelled like fish!

13. 1978 Chevy Blazer, 400ci--traded the M/B in on it at a small, rural Ga. dealer--they didn't know the value of the M/B?

13a. 1979 Pontiac Trans Am, last of the H/P big block-400ci, t-top, Recaro seat only mod--had 'chicken head' decal removed-stealth/

14. 1981 Jeep Cherokee Chief, 360 ci, changed cam, intake, & carb.

15. 1986(first yr.) Saab 9000 Turbo 4dr. sedan--heavily modded for 'driver's school'-even removed the a/c(weight savings up front)--driven daily to work.

16. 1991 Camaro Z281LE--heavily mooded for 'd/s' also--6 pt. roll cage, no a/c(from factory), driven daily , etc.

17. 1997 Pontiac G/P(wife's)

18. 1997 Ford f15 xlt

19. 2001 SVT FORD LIGHTNING--the best of the bunch, by far!

I'm 62 and still kickin'.

Yea, I knew him back then. We(and a female friend) shared some curious tobaccy(?) while drivin' from Miami Beach back to Coconut Grove--I preferred my pipe tobacco-hehehe. He played rhythm guitar(Martin, I think) and sang solo--we were both a lot thinner then.

I'm only 23, but here's a longer list than I'd like to admit. and please forgive the rice while I was a misguided teen.

1. '82 Honda Accord hatch ( not bad when you have to pay for it yourself at 16)
2. '89 Pontiac Grand Am (I didn't have a cool car for a while)
3. '87 Toyota Supra N/A (I actually liked that one at the time)
4. '87 Toyota Supra Turbo (Not bad, but not too good either)
5. '95 Mustang GT (Now I had some REAL power, and I had seen the light also
6. '99 Mustang Cobra ( My dream car, except for the color, I wanted a red one)
7. '01 Mustang Cobra ( Now I have my red one and I'm happy as can be)

7 cars in 7 years does seem a little excessive to me though, what do you all think?
