I been wanting to do something to the interior of my car. The interior seems too plain. I been thinking about a real carbon fiber dash trim kit. But I cant make up my mind. Can you post some pixs if you guys have these types of kits.

+1 I hate the all the plastic in the interior and want to do something about it. iv looked for a while but have yet to find carbon fiber replacements and can only find carbon fiber stickers/overlays. Im about ready to have my stuff wrapped in it, but i still cant decide if its the route i wanna go with for the interior.

I thought I was the only one who didnt like the interior. Other than the seats the interior looks cheap as hell. I even had a friend who is a ricer point that out when he was in my car. The thing thats holding me back from getting those overlays kits is that I dont what it to look like I bought it at autozone. Hopefully someone on here has a good quality kit or one that looks good.

Our interior is complete crap. I have this 400+ hp car with suede seats and you give me plastic speaker grates, door frames, center console with shit ass leather dash???

I once posted something about wanting to change my interior from stock and somebody commented on taking pride in my cobra, which i straight up laughed out loud at. They give us a cobra that looks EXACTLY like a v6 interior?!

What i really REALLY want to do when i have the funds is re-wrap the whole interior (doors and dash) in higher quality leather - the stuff its trying to look like.

for the 99+ charcoal interiors painting the plastic trim pieces DSG is extremely attractive. It's subtle in color but the gloss sets the interior off and makes it look much much richer. I for one HATE when people paint thier interior plastic bright wild colors. I think it looks even cheaper. I think in order to add quality, richness to your interior you do it with textures and finishes rather than obnoxious color. IMO when someone looks at the inside of your car and it takkes a second and they're like "oh wow, I didn't notice that right away but it looks classy"; that's a win

Hey Phatty. Check out Driven Fabrications on RT.40... Awesome interior work if you are looking to have something done. This year he did 5 or 6 SEMA trucks and two of them won best of show in their class.

I was actually thinking about painting some of my interior trim pieces True Blue to match the exterior. That or silver like the Mach 1 and 40th anniversary package.

I don't mind the interior at all. But I'm going to paint the door panels red like a 10th anni and the center console, I feel like that looks 10x better. Down road maybe a fr500 or 10th anni wheel, but besides like I like the interior.

I like my interior??

Now I did add an FR500 steering wheel, wrapped parts of the doorpanels in vinyl, got italian leather shift and parking brake boots, 03 Cobra Seats, 03 Dash, etc etc, but the build quality of the interior is VERY nice compared to most cars out there.

the 94-95 mustangs had perforated leather/vinyl inserts that looked really nice but they did away with it for 96+, i have no idea why. same for the side scoops, they went all the way though to the wheel well for the 94-95 and they got rid of that too.

Ive had two dash projects since then, and went back to stock in the end.

I love tasteful jdm cars. Sticker bombed my dash:

Then i painted this since my car was always white and people seem to match their car color. But i was going back n forth between white on white and black so i did this. more so to see if i could:

I know its not many peoples cup of tea, but thats exactly why i tried it out. I like standing out. But as i said, im back to stock now, its alot calmer.

You're right about one thing.

Glad to hear you went back to stock! Not digging the little guns.

But it's your car...put whatever the hell you want on it right?

I would love to see the carbon fiber kit listed above installed in someone's car.
