car cut out today, any ideas?

was driving in the rain today, was cruising along and the car started to sputter felt like the traction control was kicking on but I know I wasnt spinning, nor was the light on. only when i went to step on the gas. did it a few times then it seemed fine. I remb of it happening once a few months ago, i went to step on it after downshifting and it felt like the car hit fuel cut. No CEL, or DTCs. any ideas? bad Fprp (sp?)

If it only does it every once and a while then I think you can rule out a fuel or ignition problem because those would be a lot more consistent. I would look at the EGR system.

think the egr might be plugged up? Wouldnt it throw a code tho?

I did some "spirited" driving later that night and the car ran fine.

yea I have a JLT,I reached under and felt the filter thinking it might have been the case and it was dry.
