Can we upgrade to a newer key fob?

I know it wont have all the same features but I was wondering if you could program one of the newer mustang key fobs on our cars.

I wondered the same. Especially the 13-14 GT500 fob and key that say SVT. I’m gonna guess prolly not unless pat’s is turned off and we don’t want the function. Due to the can or network changes on 05 and up compared to 03-04.

There’s a thread from awhile ago where a guy swapped the oem key to a newer style. I think he took the chip out and glued it into the newer style fob to retain pats. Something like that. I’d have to dig it up.

The previous owner of my Terminator must have bought new OEM key fobs because when I bought it this summer I got two key fobs that look brand new.

I like old school original.
