Well for starters the base/z51 C8 is running 11.2 but as far as handling, I dont think so, tire is far superior on the shelbroCan you add the links that prove this? Seems you are making a big assumption.

I do agree the C8 will be a performer. So I agree with the common sense in that regard. The difference is I don't like to talk out the side of my face until I know some FACTS or can prove what I say. We won't know until solid numbers are out. Until then I don't state things as factsTrue. It’s a pretty educated assumption. Almost common sense.
Care to make a wager of this? Put money on it? C8 will own the 350 cars (to include the R).
I think the 20 350R will hang with the c8/z51. Of course if they were on the same tire the c8 would be on top.
Both are about 3600lbs and 500hp.
Agreed but he’s not talking Drag he’s talking road course. And their fast on that type of track. I’ll agree it’s Probably will close there.LOL, Can I live in your fantasy world? The GT350 is sloooooow in the 1/4.
Exactly, I have said this all along, once past a certain point the GT500 is just going to pull away its common sense. 60mph to however far is the next turn after your initial straight? The Gt500, once out in front on a road course, will maintain it.The science behind the argument.

That depends on the track and what corner, the corvette will exit better on slow corners which some tracks have lots of. The non cftp car is going to have a shit of a time working until owners put those cftp spec cup 2's on them.Exactly, I have said this all along, once past a certain point the GT500 is just going to pull away its common sense. 60mph to however far is the next turn after your initial straight? Not really sure I’d buy a first year C8. Unless you have be seen in the new toy and will sell in a year, I’d say it’s a gamble to buy GM’s mid-engine experiment out of the gate.

The gt350 is in line with the c8.
3650lbs for an R, 120mph+ in the quarter, high 11’s. Handles amazing.
For the money, I’d buy a gt350r over a c8.
Right, a track with little to no decent straights, then the outcome becomes interesting to see that is for sure. That depends on the track and what corner, the corvette will exit better on slow corners which some tracks have lots of. Who said this was only for the 1/4?LOL, Can I live in your fantasy world? The GT350 is sloooooow in the 1/4.
I'm not here to get in an argument. I agreed with you that the C8 will perform. It just might out perform the GT350R. I'm not 100% sure that it will. I can't say it will until we get some solid numbers. You said it will and I wanted proof. Then I would suggest that you don’t hang out on this forum, which happens to be full of “talk out the side of face”.
I am willing to put my money where my mouth is, where is your money at?
Who said this was only for the 1/4?

Youd be correct if they were on the same tire. That is why the 350R will still be hard to beat11.2 in the 1/4 compared to what in the R? 12s? As far as the road coarse, the Vette is quicker to 60 out of the turns and with rear engine Vette is going to handle amazing. Cant see any comparison here on any track, straight or curvy.

Uhhhh, no.... A tire is the reason the mclaren 570s is only 1.5-1.7 seconds faster than a 350R . The C8 z51 will be right along track with the 350R and the base 500's. None of them will destroy eachother, some may come out on top some places while not at others. The CFTP will be eating all of the above everywhere until the C8 GS comes out.Nope, wrong.
Although the R has the tire advantage. The c8 has a DCT, mid engine layout, better acceleration, lower weight and less drag.
