I'm looking for a new Shelby GT 500 and I'm willing to pay MSRP +$5,000 depending on the color. Any help from anyone would surely be appreciated. You can PM me, or call me at 503-585-0047. Thanks, David

Shelby

During my search, I was contacted by Jim Bortz at Davies Ford 1-800-400-1224 that they have two allocations for 2008 Shelby GT 500s that can be ordered and built per your specs. The price is MSRP + $10,000 which is not in my budget. Maybe one of you is interested. My budget is MSRP + $5000Good Luck to you all. David

I found two in Sacramento Calif. ---contact MIke at 707-337-9357 if you're interested in MSRP + $15,000. Still to high for me, but some of other guys might be interested. The location is right---now the price just needs to be. Good Luck to everyone. David

I think they might have lowered to 10,000 over msrp. Here is the S.F. Craigslist ad.

http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/car/329050624.html

Here is what they said on the ad.

This is a Brand New 2007 Ford Mustang GT500 Shelby Cobra with 500 hp.
This baby COOKS!! These cars are limited production and there are not many new ones left out there. We are asking $74,860 plus tax, license, and doc fees for it. Price may be Negotiable!! Below is a copy of the window sticker.
THIS WEEKEND ONLY.... I HAVE AUTHORIZATION TO SELL IT FOR $55,000.00 plus fees!!!!

If you have any questions or would like to take a look, give Mike a call at (707) 337-9357

I heard they are only making 30,000... which makes just about every other production cobra more rare still :p

Dude, Read the heading--It says MSRP + $5,000. I'm trying to be patient! I promise that I won't pay a penny more for one. Glad you got the price you wanted for yours---wish me luck on mine. David

You'll find one soon enough. The novelty of something new and different will wear off just like it does with everything . look at the PS3, people bought dozens of them thinkin they were gonna get rich, now look at them ! I know I cant draw an even comparison with a car and a gaming system , however facts are facts. The prices are droppin, and will continue to do so. But 60 grand for a mustang when you have the new z06 ?? It would be a foolish tradeoff IMO
