We built a house 4 years ago, but it wasn't super custom and only on 1/3ish of an acre (in a neighborhood.)
Next house we want at LEAST 2 acres, and will build something more custom. That might be a few years down the line though. But building our current house we learned a fair amount about wants/needs of options.
