You DON'T HAVE to, it's recommended to get it tuned, you'll get more power (obviously) You will get a Check Engine Light if you don't either get a tune or use the anti-foulers to pull the o2 sensors out of the exhaust stream a lil bit

check out this thread and start with post #14... post #40 will explain what you need and what to do... I have been running them for about 12k miles and no problems... you need to use two sets (4 total)

What do you guys do with new 2013's.. Do you leave it catted with the stock pipe, or risk losing your warranty by tuning it and putting an offroad pipe on it?

Ford said if i take the cats off it voids the whole warranty. I want offroad exhaust though....

^thats why I still have my stock mid pipe. if you remove the resignators it will help with the volume.

holy negative camber in that last pic! Get that thing aligned lol.

What panhard bar did you go with? Did you do LCA relo brackets? Keep the stock strut mounts? I keep hearing conflicting info on whether or not the strut mounts actually need changed on these cars when they are lowered or if that was more of an 05-09 issue with them "popping" if re-using them after lowering. I know you need them if you use 05-10 struts on an 11+ but wasnt sure about other potential issues...

LOL yeah i know alignment this week. i didnt do relocation brackets, i got the bmr panhard bar from stangmods. I didnt do strut mounts. i know some people that have a ton of miles on theirs. So i dont think i need them.

under the rear seat of the car. theres a great muffler shop off in east houston, I-10 and uvalde called uvalde muffler. they cut mine out, and put some 3" piping in for $50.
Did it actually make a difference when you did them when you took them off? i was going to do them today but the guy at the exhaust shop told me its not worth it.

Rtr Decklid installed!

Looks great!

Also I think 5pointohh meant the resonators. Tons of ppl on here have had them removed. They make the exhaust louder. Some ppl like it, some don't.

Not sure if your exhaust guy knows what he's talking about, yes it increases the volume. Very noticeable IMO, sounds better without them if your keeping the cats.
