Bought this truck last fall after searching for the "right" one for about a year. 68 Ranger edition SWB 2wd Roller, only rust was bed floor and passenger side cab corner. Very solid truck overall. Here it is the day I brought it home.

Donor car, 13 GT, 6 spd with 3:73 gears and 36k mi.
Car hit a tree dead center had to replace front engine cover, crank pulley and decided to put billet crank gear and OPG while it was apart. Good thing I did, crank pulley was cracked most likely due to impact. Btw paid 5k for the car at Copart and sold the Recaros, Brembos, tailights and some other pieces for $2500. So I have a complete drivetrain and 8.8 rear for $2500. Paid $2300 for truck. $4800 for truck with complete mustang drivetrain!

Four link install. Got really lucky with the rear end. Fit perfect. Bought a set of 20" True Forged Wheels off of the site. The offset worked out great with 315/35 tires. Only had to use 1/2" spacers and trim the bed wheel lip. They definitely fill the stock wheel wells. Used a 65/66 efi mustang tank.

Motor in, used the crown Vic mounts on the engine. Made relocater plates that moved engine back 2.5 inches, this allowed the stock oil pan to be retained.

THIS IS WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!

Excellent work, OP. I love a good F100 build. I've got one currently going with a 69 short wide and the 6.2 and 6speed out of a 2014 super duty! I'm excited to see more pics of yours!

Just got the cab back from acid dippers. I had all body panels dipped. It does an excellent job of getting rid of the rust and paint. No warping or finding sand everywhere either.

Thanks everyone, its been a vision of mine for years! And yes the whole truck will be this color, I considered doing the factory two tone with a Ford Pearl White, but I decided to delete all the chrome to have a nice clean look. So it will be all blue with the factory chrome grill, chrome flush door handles, windshield and back window chrome trim and just the Ranger Badges on the bed, probably going to polish the factory FORD tailgate piece and of course the chrome plated 3 piece 20's!
