If you can find somebody to build it locally you can have a ~1000whp reliable iron block for relatively cheap. Save about $1800 if you can reuse the stock block/crank.

The Ironblock guys have a distinct advantage over the Aluminum 5.4 and 5.8 owners in that they can be honed and, if necessary, bore the iron blocks.

... I may try to find a GT500 iron block as a spare just in case. :D

Can the knock sensors bolt into the iron block or are the threaded bosses not there?

According to all the images the threaded boss hole is there in the iron blocks.

Its also my understanding that your tuner has to modify the manner in which the ECU see's the knock signal. Iron transmits knock in a slightly different fashion than Aluminum.
