Thats strange, I haven't heard of them sending a rep out to inspect a half shaft unless the dealer calls them in. If its a motor then heck yea they will be there before your car cools off but a halfshaft?? Take your car to a non SVT small town dealer and see what they can do, they can fix all that stuff also and might not really know what to look for.

From what the dealer told me, halfshafts are "watched" parts, so the moment they order one under warranty, the rep is notified. They told me this before they ever ordered it, said they had already had it happen once. I don't know, just going on what I was told. :shrug:

Makes sense to me, we all know that these forums are monitored, that's why I have NEVER;

1) Redlined my car, or even gotten close to the rev limiter.

2) Modified any parts or bolted on any aftermarket parts.

3) Taken John Colletti or Tom Scarpello's name in vain......

Thank you for the help everyone. Tracy, I've talked to Frank at The Driveshaft Shop. I'll be taking the same route you have!

:lol: :lol:

Now they probably won't even warranty a window motor for you.

The thinking around here at the local dealers is that ANY motor mods (chip, pulley) and your entire driveline warranty is gone. So much for my half shafts, I guess.
It won't be worth the fight. It isn't a matter of IF, just WHEN for them.

I'd have to disagree there. The fastest 03 in existance has IRS (and the stock one at that!). Don't know about you, but low 10's / high 9's is plenty fast for me, even if I DO have to launch like a pu$$y.

I think he was just talking about the fast ones in St. Louis...though I'm sure some of his buddies will disagree too. ;-) :lol:
