Calipers came in and I got a chance to look them over. They are HUGE. I found a few more scratches and Knicks than I would like so I spent a little time touching them up. It is raining so I enjoyed a quiet night inside after the fam went to sleep

Wanted to install these myself but won't have time before Knotts. Taking it to my buddies shop to get it handled. If I can get off work early enough during the week I will pop in and help do the install.

Nice.

Waiting for global cooling to subside where we are so I can do mine. They really are a beautiful caliper, especially in gloss red.

Looking good. That should work nicely with the red pinstriping on your car.
I am hoping so. Trying to tie this car together

TOB what do you know about replacement seals for these brakes? Or if they absolutely need to be disassembled for powder coating?

I would like to get my stock set coated in DIB to match the stripes but thus far have hit a dead end with finding a rebuild kit for the seals. If I don't have to diassemble them then I will move forward. If finding the seals is too expensive or just unavailable I will end up selling the stock ones.

I ordered some of these as well. A couple of them went on back order. Dealer said they would come in around the 20th. One of the rear calipers out of my set was dinged up pretty bad.... I asked them to exchange it. I do plan on selling my stock calipers. Everyone post pics when U get them installed. My car is solid white with black roof I can't wait.

Got the car up on the rack for the caliper install. If you ever have the chance to get up under your car, or someone elses GT350, spend some time looking over the underbody. Ford did some good engineering with this car. I could stand under it for an hour and admire the thought the went into it.

Also got my coil covers back from my good buddies paint shop. had them done in DIB to match the stripes. My problem now is figuring out how to apply color to the recessed "powered by ford" and borders. Anyone have a creative solution?

I apologize in advance for my ignorance, but what exactly are you doing here? Are these larger brakes? Re-coated stock brakes?

The brakes are R model Brembo calipers. 100% identical to non-R models other than color.

TOB has it right...

Progress is taking much longer than it should. Hard to get things done with work and a newborn. Gotta get these bled tonight since we are cruising to Fabulous Fords Forever this Friday morning.

Red on left side blue on right
You both may be on to something...

So far it looks like I may hydrodip blue then seal with a high temp clear. A friend just do happens to have a hydrodipping tank. Anyone have experience with hydrodipping in higher heat applications?

Camera on the ground shots are always a favorite of mine. Calipers are the way the car should have come. A subtle change that makes a huge difference, especially on a white car. You're doing a great job with the car.

Thanks Tob. I agree there are some options ford should have made for the 350. Caliper color is a big one, also wish we would of had an option for a different wheel finish.

But they knocked it out of the park overall so I can't complain
