Sold my S1000 last month...only put 300 miles on it all summer. Incredible bike but I am definitely getting too old to be leaning over (even though in my mind I think I can...lol). As many of you know I had the Brutale before the S1000. Much more comfortable bike and tons of power. Didn't really plan on getting anything until spring time BUT my good friend came into town 2 nights ago and we spent the day looking at motorcycles. Our last stop was the local honda/Yamaha dealer. I walked in and nearly fainted when I saw an all black Vmax...the rest is history...lol. pics....

Looks good, just not my style, yet! (I’m 26)

:)

You like the S1000? I’ve got Austin Racing exhaust for my 15 R1 in my living room, If i don’t like how it sounds I’m debating switching for S1000 or ZX10

Badass ride man. These things are all engine. The true king of the sport cruisers.

Here’s my 190whp 125wtq face melter. My 11th motorcycle and my favorite to date :)

WOWOWOWOWOW! Love it! Did you not like the stock power???
Well here’s the deal. The vmax offers a unique riding experience due to its long wheelbase (longer then a busa), decent heft, lower traction direct drive, and nasty big motor. Its one of the few bikes that you manage wheel spin instead nose altitude when you over power the chassis.

And when it spins it’s this real nice controllable slow back and forth we wag as it rolls on the coal, it’s a brutish display of power and I ****ing love it. And now I can do more of that...and in more gears :D

Plus the vmax is such an assault on the senses I wanted to make a Max vmax, so stepped it up lowering front and rear, Yamaha 240 rear wheel kit, full Dam exhaust, Nash flash, PCV, and I have a quick shifter waiting for it when I want to tinker and take it to the track.

I buy and sell a lot of toys. The vmax has been a passion project for me and not much else is as comfortable around town, eye catching, and gnarly. Still does just fine at the dragon as well as is plenty capable to keep you arshole puckered

Beautiful bike brother. I’ve never owned a gen 2. But I had the first year 85 and then a 92. Both great bikes. Not sure if kerker offers a pipe for the gen 2’s if they do I recommend them. Sounded nasty on both my gen 1’s.

How much did you get out of the S1000 if you don't mind me asking?

I bought my s1000 in may of last year. It was a left over 2017 and fully loaded (a tick over 20K MSRP). BMW had 5000 off plus the dealer came down 1500 off that. So I paid 13900 for it brand new. Sold it for 13500.

Thanks! Just curious... I've been getting the itch recently and the S1000 is one of 3 bikes I would get (ZX10 and H2 would be the other two).

The vmax is a nasty ride. I had a neighbor with one and we rode together sometimes. I have a 05 Harley V-Rod, they are similar but very different at the same time. Enjoy that thing and don't let it get loose.

Was it you that had a KTM RC8 a few years back? How did you like it? I still think that is the meanest/cleanest/sexiest looking bike.

Yes sir. It was amazing. Loved the V Twin in it. Ridiculous amount of low end torque and still had plenty up high for me. The seating position was extremely comfortable as well. My favorite part of the V Twin though was the forward/backward angle of the engine, so the bike was thinner; it felt much like riding a 600.

It sounded mean too. I put on a custom exhaust I purchased from a guy in the UK and it was awesome. With the exhaust and a custom map it put down 176rwhp, and was still running a little rich...but I liked the 8" flame.
