Just curious but since I have a spare 5.0 now and I have a new set of Boss rods I bought a couple years ago, would it be worth while to buy good pistons and use the Boss rods or just go ahead and buy a better rod when I build this motor? I feel certain I'll never see more than 650-700 to the wheels.

If I were building a performance engine there's no way I'd put PMR rods back in it.

^^^That. If in there doing work, might as well only do it once and use a good rod. I was fairly certain I just wanted a 10 second car. These things make it too easy to want to make more power :)

ya, better to push a motor at 60-70% vs 90+% if you can swing the money, do some forged rods.

Especially since you have to balance your crank anyway.

Ok, was just curious to opinions. This won't be for my car, it's probably going into my wife's 02 GT.
