Bolt on Z06 vs Cammed C5

I ran 11.8x's @ 118.45 on stock F1's with my 02 Z only making 365/356. But with 405/385 I ran 11.3x's @ 123.5. Should make a great race. If you want to negate the gearing of the M12 just run him from a 4th gear roll. Now you both are even. If you leave in third he will have a slight gearing advantage. But I would say your tq numbers will be almost the same. When I got my LT/intake tune I was making 385/375. After the cam I picked up 20rwhp and only 10rwtq. That is why I am saying he probably has the same tq as you just less hp. So a highway run is going to have to be taken to higher speeds. Let up know how it tuns out.

what type of cam & specs were you running?

i was expecting my torque to be around 380lbs-ft, but i was a lil disappointed to see only 370rwtq. when i was just LTs/tune/intake i made 360/366, thats why im disappointed. i only gained 4lbs-ft tq peak from the cam

I am running a Comp 224/228 .581/.588 114. Supermaxx catted LT's stock Ti. But I put an A@A P1sc kit on it and at 10psi it made 632/517 untuned with 14.5* timing and below 10.0:1 afr. We tuned it for 6psi and it make 550/500 at 14.5*. I took it to the track Sunday and ran [email protected] launching pretty easy. But I was only seeing 5psi and 12* total timing. I was getting some belt slip also. I love this cam.

thats nice and safe, but you should lean it out a bit to about a 10.5:1 A/F. all that richness under 10:0 AF may wash out your rings...... im planning to go FI also, and i was planning on running at 6-7psi w/a 10.5 A/F and 13 degrees total timing. im hoping for 550rwhp.



what were your numbers before the blower?

Very interesting I for one would like to know the out come.....I was wondering how I would far against a C5 Z06 ........ my buddy has a 01 Z06 only mod he has is a Donaldson and he thinks he can beat me. Seems like every time he comes over the house he drives his harley.

your buddy with his c5 z06 with only a donaldson would get raped by you. you're making about 53rwhp/56rwtq more than he is and you both weight the same. he has steeper gearing but it won't be enough to beat you. i say you'll pull him by at least 4 cars.

i think you'll pull me by 1 car b/c you're lighter and have about 26more lbs ft tq than i do and 1 rwhp less.
