who'd win a stock '03 Z06 w/ LTs, CAI, and Tune or '02 C5 6spd w/226 cam, LTs, Tune, CAI and Xpipe from a stop and roll?

well thats not a real big power cam...so im gonna go Z06 but not by much...prolly a drivers race imho...but seems like even w a small cam and true duals both cars should put down 400-410rwhp....should be a great race....gears would make the difference for the c5...get it on video!!

yea, i was thinking it was going to be close also. my c5 has more area under the curve, but the z has a better gear ratio and a lighter valvetrain. i was thinking maybe neck to neck to about 170 and then my c5 would pull on it do to lower gearing and better aerodynamics.

Z06 should be just under 400HP, C5 should be just over 400HP, I think the z06 is a tad bit lighter, ima say it is a drivers race...

Better aerodynamics? Whaaaa?

From a dig... drivers race. But I would say your C5 over the Z06. From a roll? You for shizzy.

yes, better aerodynamics at higher speeds. C5 coupe's are more slippreier than C5 Z06s due to the coupe's rear hatch/window deisgn. C5 coupe's cd is .28 and the C5Z06's is .29.

I think it will be a very close race.

With LTs and CAI, I was running 11.9@119 with street radials to give you an idea.

Aren't his trans gear ratios different than yours(2.97 vs. 2.66 1rst,etc.)? That would almost even things up with you being a bit heavier...skills will definately come into play.
Until 4rth gear, that is. When you're both 1:1, your cam should pull a car or two on him.

Yes you do have ~20 hp advantage but most of that is negated by lighter Z06 with better gearing. The C5 Z06 gears setup very close to 3.90 gears.

That is why I still believe it will be a very close race.

One thing you didn't mention is tires. What tires are you and him running?

you should pull a 1/2 car but do a 40 roll and you should have him, you should be making 20-30 more hp so if you have the driver mod you will take him.
