I've been thinking of changing my wheel setup for some time now. I've been waiting for an affordable option that would give me the look I've been picturing in my mind. Now, for those that don't like black wheels, don't spaz out... I've got my original Ford chrome 2000 Cobra R's (that were on the car since 2001) stored safely away (still with tires) if I decide to swap back to those for a while.

After seeing the SVE Drift wheel from Late Model Restoration (a great Mustang Week sponsor!) I knew I'd found my wheel. SVE Drift Wheels at LRS - Free Shipping!

I'm loving the new look! The weather hasn't cooperated too much for good photos, so for now you'll have to see the iPhone pics is was able to get at dusk yesterday.

Wheels are 18x9 on front, and 18x10 in the rear. I mounted a set of Nitto 555r's from Cruisin Concepts (another great Mustang Week Sponsor), with 275/35/18 up front and 28/35/18 in the rear. Mustang Body Kits | Hoods | Wheels and Mustang Accessories

Also, the car already has Eibach Pro Kit springs, tubular control arms, KYB shocks/struts... so no ride height changes will be made because I'm not a little guy and when I'm in it, it's low enough! LOL!

Looks really good. Maybe a tad bit lower and some tire shine and there will be much win

Yes there is no point in lowering the car anymore than that. People who do must find new ways to change their oil, worry about frogs/turtles busting their oil pans when they run over them, and chewing up their front bumpers/longtubes on EVERYTHING.

Nice car though!

Like I said, I'm a big guy, and with my weight, it's as low as it needs to be. The car had been on jack stands for a good bit before I dropped it and took photos. It normally settles a tiny bit as well.

Everyone has their own opinion. When you change your oil you have to jack the car up anyways, so idk how ride height effects your oil changing capabilities. With a low pro jack and driving on a 2x4 it doesn't take much effort. Idk about what breed of frogs that have busting your oil pan lately, but mine is frog free and turtle free! And my mac longtubes tuck up better than my stock manifold and o/rx

OP, wasn't bashing your car, just giving my .02

my car is slammed and it looks great but it's also not a daily driver, if it was driving it would get irritating real quick. i have to watch out for everything!

Thanks! Those were good times going to the Civil Wars! Running those car shows for Holcomb was part of the foundation for the five Mustang Week Staff.

In my 23+ years I've been in the Mustang "business," I've still only owned two... my black '85 GT (regret selling) and my '96 Cobra. I can't bring myself to depart from it. It has been a love/hate relationship that hangs on. I don't see ever parting with it.
