It's obvious what it is, and the land it occupies must be burned with fire.

It's big alright, but I don't have a clue what it is. Looks like one of the water spiders but that one is definitely something else.....and huge! Did you kill it?

Looks like a garden/banana/corn spider (same spider, just different name depending on who you talk to). We get em all over the tall weeds by corn fields and gardens in the fall up here. I hate these big bastards

Golden silk orb weaver spider. They are good spiders and they stay outdoors and away from people. They are scarry looking cause of it's size. The silk it produces has a tensile strength of 4×109 N/m, it exceeds that of steel by a factor of six. So strong that it can stop a small bird.

Thanks guys. Lol I knew brown recluse would be thrown into the mix. And no I didn't kill it, I did relocate back to the woods. Felt bad even moving it but didn't want my shepherd eating it.

Exactly what it is. They do have some freaky strong webs too, walk into one and you'll know what I mean.

The kind you obliterate with a shovel, and not a shoe. I ****ing hate spiders.
