I'm trying to find a nice SUV to tow mainly a 4 wheeler and a jetski so I don't need anything huge. I want to stay around the 22-28k range mainly looking brand new. What do you guys think? I was looking at the new Jeeps the compass looks kinda cool

I love the newer body style Tahoes. Idk if they're considered "mid-sized". They're big, but no suburban or expedition.

VEGAS BABY!
FYI the compass/patriot/caliber are the WORST cars ever made, even bad for dodge's standards.

i wouls suggest the Kia/Hyundai things with the turbo motor, fun to drive

My next DD is going to be a midsize SUV and after considering all options, I keep going back to lightly used Toyota 4Runners. Decent power, decent mileage, capable 4wd and reliable.

I vote 4th gen Ford Explorer(2006-2010) with the 3V V8. I would even recommend the 3rd gen Explorer as well(2002-2005), but they have a bad rep with the rear diff, transmission and wheel bearings having issues. I have a 2002 Limited V8 and it pulls my two quads with ease. I have had it for 7 years and even with the issues that came with it, I absolutely have enjoyed every mile I've put on it(100,000+).

Look at any of the Mazdas these days -- always highly rated in magazine reviews and supposed to have excellent driving characteristics.

That would be my choice as well. Maybe a Sport Trac if a truck appeals to you. You can get a very nice one in your price range.

A brand new '13 Durango 3.6 v6 is in your price range. They are really good vehicles for the money. Seat 7 fairly comfortable, decent gas mileage, has enough power to get it out its way, has a 100k mile powertrain warranty, tows 6200 lbs.

My gf has an '08 Infiniti FX35 AWD. It's good on gas, extremely comfortable, has a peppy 3.5 V6, awesome stock exhaust note, and the AWD works great in the snow.

Grand Cherokee! No question. Pick up a WJ for not much cash or a WK for a little more.

Can't explain it until you drive one, but Grand Cherokees are awesome!

+1 for the Nissan Xterra and Ford Explorer. The Toyota 4Runner also gets the job done.

I'm a Land Rover Range Rover and Discovery fan... but I don't know if I would recommend one. Maintenance and repairs can get pricey.
