just because a tune makes more power doesn't mean its better.

um... your stupid.

JLT is the best on the market.

I will explain why and compare it to Steeda.

JLT: 4'' plastic tubing (means it doesn't warm up like metal does)
bigger K&N filter(which everyone uses)
rubber fittings that is easy to work with
only $209 for everything
http://www.americanmuscle.com/jlt-2005-2006-gt-cai.html

Steeda: 3'' metal or chrome tubing which.... heats up wicked fast and turns your cold air into a warm air intake.
same smaller filter but colored different
over priced!!!!!
555-3120
Steeda High Velocity Cold Air Kit - GT- '05-'08 $249.95

555-3131
Steeda Complete Intake Kit - GT - '05-'08
(Note: includes Cold Air Kit* and HF Inlet Elbow) $329.95

If that doesn't say enough.....

On a side not, Mail order tunes suck!! I never once seen anything good happen. Maybe 1 out of 10 will be fine. I would buy the xcal 3 kit. Worth every penny bro!!!

i would imagine a c&l intake/mass air would make more power than a jlt correct? since the jlt is just a coldair kit and the c&l is both a cai and a massair meter?

wrong because of the material the intake tube is made of. Just like BBK and steeda, it warms the air way to much.

You can get a SCT MAF for cheaper or if you want to spend the money which I am.

Anderson motorsports just came out with a new MAF which is a work of art.
CHeck it out. I know they show pics and info in the latest 5.0 magazine.

Mail order tunes are bad because every car is different. It may makes your wicked lean or rich.

I would buy the tuner or chip and have it dyno tuned. Can take care of all your problems.

Just because a tune shows more PEAK hp & tq doesnt mean it is necessarily better...Personally i rather have 5-10 less hp RELIABLY then 5-10 (however much) more HP on a racey tune.
my next point is...are YOU stupid?
You have NO idea what your talking about.
1 out of 10 canned tunes will be fine? PLENTY of people have been fine with mail order canned tunes (on light boltons not FI). Go to Modularfords.com or Mustangforums.com. The only thing we can agree on is JLT intakes being the best.
Your out of your element.

out of my element? Who says that?

Were did I talk about peak hp? Never. When I talk about hp its in rwhp. I'm not a internet racer. And I am comparing intakes. So this other stuff your saying. Not with me bud.

I have worked with just about every intake so I am not going by what I read about, I go by actualy studied facts.

And canned tunes, I see them blow all the time. Every car is different so a tune on your car may not work on another car. its a hit or miss. Just buy a ****ing chip or handheld and have a local guy tune it. SO much easier. 90% of the mail order tune guys tune for peak performance. YOu want a good tune, find a guy who charges like 400 an hour and tunes every RPM in each gear of your car. And if you act like thats alot. YOu want to play hard, you gotta pay for whats good. Not what some guy thinks your car should be.
