"BELT" sounds coming from partially depressed clutch.

Hey guys,

Recently I have noticed that i am getting an annoying squeeling when I have the cluthc partiall in or sometimes fully depressed.

Sounds like a slipping fan belt.

Just wondering if this is something other people have experienced, or something that should be a major concern for me.

TOB. Lots of post on this. TSB on this. Bring it back to the dealer If you got a warranty.

Another TO bearing bites the dust. Your dealer should fix it under warrantee. Unless you're modded. LOL!

your TOB retainer sleeve could be toasted too. it'll take at least a day to do the TOB.

They have to pull the trans to get to it. Mine is going in on Friday. Depending on miles and clutch wear, some of you might want to replace the clutch while the trans is out.

miles are 2900, clutch wear = 0

TOB is chirping. Likely to be the input shaft retainer sleeve.

I get a slight chirping with the clutch disengaged, is this TOB also?

i guess so.. same thing as mine...

I'm in western MA, I'm going to have to find a good SVT dealer who will do the TOB replacement with my catted X, CB, and K&N.
