When the forum has 700 people ( 50 members and 650 guests ) on it at once, those kinds of issues are to be expected. It is likely a connection limit in MySql. The database can only handle so many concurrent connections in its default configuration..

700 members on a forum at once is a lot ...

Why don't they limit the amount of guest logins to 500, so the people who use the forum every day can continue to do that, and the people that want to read soap opera threads can wait until the other guest logins fall off.

Timing is everything, the problem started yesterday on SVTperforance and SVTOA sent out emails today. If SVTperforance does not fix the problem fast alot of people will have no choice but to post elsewhere.

This is a great site!!!!

on the bright side, if you get it fixed before we all leave perhaps vendor support would increase... paying for the servers and bandwidth, when was the last time a relatively few suppliers had 700 people viewing there site at once? If the stuff there selling is good quality parts, and produce satisfied customers, the posts will come, and if there service or parts sucks that will too. We are few and too far between to comunicate any other way.
