I recently picked up a coupe that has a 2.8 kenne bell , 60lb inj , bap , bigger cone air filter (not cai just filter) Mac full lengths header , lethal x pipe , Mac 3" cat back , subframes and a IRS brace

I am fine with the power of the car. I just want to start doing the supporting mods
There are so many things I want to do
But I am not sure where to start
I'm looking for a little help in prioritizing the mods
What should I start with ?
And what supporting mods do you guys suggest ?
The car will probably never go to the track , just a cruiser
Thanks in advance

Are you talking about suspension or things like fuel system improvements?

I do not have a dyno sheet
There are 2 tunes on the sct
93,100 octane
The only numbers he (the owner who had the work done ) told me where 630 rwhp / 580 tq my guess would be that's on the 100 octane tune

Should I be worrying about the clutch /tranny ?
What about a catch can ?
Head cooling mod?
Heat exchanger?
Is the bap sufficient or upgrade the fuel system

I think the head cooling mod and upgraded idler pulleys are also recommended. As far as the clutch goes, I am not too sure so won't comment. There are some guys who know thier stuff on here, I'm sure they'll chime in.

All of the above plus get the car on the dyno and have the tune checked out. Since you have plenty of power and if the tune and supporting mods are good, I'd go with brakes and suspension first. Drop the IRS and do the FTBR bushing mods.

I am definitely going to put it on the dyno just to make sure it's all good

I was reading up on that full tilt kit and definitely putting it on the to do list
I forgot I also have mm coil overs on all 4 corners and running a 315 on the back

How much power are you making? Stock clutch is good for about 600 rwhp.

I’d definitely invest in a larger HE and maybe larger IC tank

I don't have an actual dyno sheet
Just what he told me
Which was 630/580 which I think was on the 100 octane tune
That is why I want to get it on a dyno asap . Just to know all is good

I’d venture to say it’s probably making 630 on pump gas and close to 700 if not more on 100 octane... Must have mods for a bigger blower car? E85 hands down. Being a new car to me as already mentioned, get it on a dyno to make sure it’s not too lean. I wouldn’t beat on and get into boost not knowing anything about the tune or car. Did it by chance come with the handheld that tuned the car? What throttle body is on the blower? And what piping/tubing is in between the tb and that cone filter? Maybe post some engine bay pics? If the idlers on the outer serpentine belt aren’t upgraded, I would invest in a set of double bearing idlers. I wouldn’t mess with the clutch until it goes out or starts slipping. You know the old adage. If it’s not broken, don’t fix it. A firewall adjuster and upgraded quadrant are good mods to do to set the proper clutch adjustment. Upgrading the bushings on the rear end isn’t a bad idea either. If it starts wheel hopping, back out of it and don’t try and drive through it. You won’t win. Look into the 9/16” IRS bolt upgrade when/if you do the bushing. Are you sure the car doesn’t already have bushings? It’s usually a very common mod that most modded termi’s have. If it has a KB, I’m sure there’s probably some more done to the car then you realize. Look into investing in a set of gauges like Aeroforce. You can monitor just about damn near every parameter on the car. It could save you’re engine by giving you ability to see if it’s overheating or if IAT’s are going crazy. You can also read and clear codes with those gauges too. Welcome back to a cobra.

As roy1031 said - as things break, but:

- 26 spline input and billet TOB retainer
- twin disc clutch (both strength and driveability)
- good shifter
- firewall adj and quadrant
- IRS bushings with aftermarket diff cover
- helical LSD (such as TruTrac)

Is it the comp orange car in your sig pic?? You already had a co car, right?

Yes the car came with the x4 with 2 tunes
I have to check the throttle body
It has the stock pipe to the air filter
I actually think I have a set of division x pullies brand new up in my attic

I'm gonna look at the IRS today
I need to adjust the height in the rear
So I will have the wheels off and be able to get s good look
I had the aerofoce for my old car wish I would have kept it

This is all really good advice . I really appreciate it

And p49y-cy yes the comp o was my old car
I actually bought the 03 ow coupe with 8k miles that was posted up in the market

I'd swap in an FRPP diff cover, and plan for a better clutch. I personally love my Centerforce DYAD.
