Avoid Modding it??

My buddy has a cobra with the tick and bought a pully and was going to have it tuned.. is the tick that big of a deal?? other then it just being a annoying sound?? he also doesnt have any plans of replacing the heads either should he avoid modding it or what??

click the search button, you'll find a LOT of threads titled "Head Tick". It's been proved to be harmless, but just "Annoying". Go ahead, mod away.

Before he does anything find out if the the car is in warranty. For instance, was the tick reported before the warranty ended etc.
