Hey guys,
Well I finally got the AVIC D1 and most of the system installed today. What do you think?

The factory amps are still running the speakers. I used metra harnessess 70-1771 and 70-5519. They hook straight into the existing wiring system. The components I used were the AVIC D1, the CDB100 (IPOD Adapter), the GEX-P10XMT (XM/Navtraffic tuner) and the XDV-P90 (6 Disc DVD Changer). The system sounds great.

The install wasn't bad. I didn't do it myself, but I was there the entire time they were doing it. I had it done at Santa Cruz Sound Garden here in California. Probably the most difficult thing was fabricating the bracket out of sheet metal to attach to the stock mounting locations. Other than that and the speed wire, the rest was fairly straight forward.

I just installed the same setup less the ipod adaptor this week and so far its great. I installed a camera in the trunk lock space. Its better than my stock setup in my 300C. I need some ramp up time until I get this baby totally figured out though, its got so many features to it.

Very nice man. I have always wanted a GPS nav system in my stang. My girlfriends dad has the new Infiniti M and the nav system in it is awesome.
