I know our stock throttle body flows 1089cfm. At what point or hp is it a restriction?. Im running a 70mm turbo and a 03 mach intake and shooting for 550-600hp after this winter. Should i be looking into another throttle body such as accufab or is it not worth it ?

Stock dual 57mm - 1089 cfm
Accufab dual 60mm - 1284 cfm

Your stock TB will be good at those levels. Don't waste the money on it until it is the very last thing you want to do to your combination.

Heck, I think Oliver (Quadcam) ran 700+rwhp with a stock one.

you don't need to spend $350 on an aftermarket TB..

werd...spend it on fuel delivery or a MAF....your are gonna need a BA2200 or 2400...i would go with the 2400

I'd do the 2800 or 3000. I have a 2400 and had to run a MAFia because I was pegging the MAF by 4800rpm. Granted I also have the MAF sensor in a 3.5" tube.

FWIW, I'm still running the stock throttle body. And I'm pretty sure I'm a little closer to 600rwhp now.

Im running a HPX mass air in a 3.0" Tube . The car already has the turbo on it and at 6-7psi put down 455 hp before my 03/04 pumps maxed out. Now im adding a BAP and a wire upgrade and will see where that takes me and leave it for a while . Since i dont have to buy a Throttle body i will put the money into building the IRS .

^^^ you maxed twin 03/04 pumps at 455?

Yeah not sure why they maxed out at 455.. could have been for a number of reasons . That was with the old motor which was on its way out and i was running 4.30 gears as well and the tuner said he had very conservative timing . Now with my new motor and BAP hopefully i can get to 600.. We will see i just hope i dont have a crappy pump.

Each set up is different. I maxed out terminator pumps on my old set up. It never made it to the dyno, but I'm pretty sure it was under 500rwhp.
