This bill was expanded to include Razorback games and Bars. I'd like you guys thoughts on this. Personally I supported it when it was just a bill allowing people to carry on campus, the airport, and some government buildings. Once they put sporting events and bars in it I feel it turned into a bad idea. I've been to 3 Razorback games over the last few years and I'd hate to think they're going to ok people bringing guns into the stadium.

I hope this exemption passes.

We just had this happen last year. Imagine if his drunken ass had a gun.

Just saw the exemption passed

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - SB724 passed the Arkansas House Thursday afternoon and now heads to the Senate for approval as amended.

SB724 exempts athletic events on the collegiate level, teaching hospitals including UAMS, and daycares, from a new gun law that allows concealed carry permit holders with enhanced training to bring guns in sensitive areas.

Exemptions for athletic events will only be made if a security plan is put in place, submitted to and approved by the Arkansas State Police.

Rep. Charlie Collins spoke for the bill on Thursday to the House, breaking down what the bill means and what it will amend. Collins called SB724 a change to a "sensible" law.

"Senate Bill 724 allows college stadiums for games to submit a security plan to the Arkansas State Police and lay out here's what we're going to do to protect folks at the game," said Rep. Charlie Collins.
