Are Netgear routers good?

cisco routers are really good you just have to take classes to figure out how to program them

You do? I plugged mine in, and put the disk in my laptop and setup my network name and password.. and that was it. Unless you're talking about an older style. I thought there was nothing to mine. And I'm somewhat dumb with computers.

SVTAddict is referring to the actual Cisco routers used in large networks, not the cisco/linksys residential type.

I think either the Cisco or the Netgear will be fine. Our local Walmart just has two Netgear 900's in stock. They have some Cisco's but none of them were gigaport routers. That's a big plus for me since I still want the maximum speeds for my desktop.

I'll try a Netgear since they are in stock and if it gives me any problems, I'll have them order me a Cisco. Thanks for the replys!
