Anyone try a 3.0 upper and #4 lower ported combo?

I'll be installing a posi ported eaton and ported dragon soon. I've always liked running a 3.0 upper because there is enough belt wrap to not have slipping issues. I'd like to keep the pulley cover on as well so that means no aux idler pulley. With that in mind, will the #4 lower help get it to the boost sweet spot for this setup? Has anyone run this exact combo? If so, what were the results?
I have a bassani x w/cats and a borla stinger cat back - stock headers - so judging from the boost reference charts it should be roughly mid 15lbs.

I know most people go with a 2.8 / #4 combo but I'd like to see if this alternate setup would be ok before changing the 3.0 to a 2.8 and possibly needing the aux idler pulley.

I'm aware of the necessary supporting mods, I'm just curious to see if anyone has run this pulley combo before.

Thanks for your input!

I run a Lightning 2.93 upper only with a green stripe, no idler and no belt slip at all. I also run my cover for the stock look. I have a BF hub and 2.93 ring sitting in my parts locker waiting for the mood to strike to replace the Lightning pulley.

You can run a whipple aux. ilder and it'll fit under the stock pulley guard to give it the "stock" look. I run a 2.76 upper with the whipple Aux. idler with the pulley guard on.
